Pluto & The Angles

Taurus Risings :: MC

You may have heard Astrologers talking about how Pluto in Aquarius will be affecting the Fixed Signs the most (Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, and Scorpio). And that is because Pluto moving into Aquarius will be aspecting these placements in some way over the next 18 years. Equally as important, if you are an Aquarius, Taurus, Leo, or Scorpio Rising, Pluto will be transiting your Angles.

When Pluto transits the angles of your natal chart, it signals deeply transformative periods that redefine the core of who you are and how you relate to the world. As Pluto touches these points of the natal chart, it brings an energy of intense, cathartic change, urging you to let go of old structures, patterns, and identities that no longer serve your evolution.

These transits often last for roughly 3 years, so they are deeply impactful and can unearth major change. On the other side of these transits, you will not be the same.

If you are a Taurus Rising with an Aquarius Midheaven at  0-4 degrees, this transit will be occurring for you over the next 3-4 years, and you may have already begun to feel it’s effects.

Looking at the top of the natal chart you can find “MC” and the number next to it. The example above is MC at 4 degrees, and you can see Pluto is at 29 degrees Capricorn, so it is 5 degrees away from the MC This native will have already begun to feel the effects of Pluto conjunct the MC.

This transit brings profound changes in career, public life, and life direction. The Midheaven represents your role in the world, reputation, and aspirations. Pluto initiates a journey of redefinition in how you approach your goals, how you are perceived, and what redefining what success truly means to you.

Pre-Midheaven (3°-1° Before the MC)

Lesson: In this initial approach phase, Pluto begins to shift your awareness around career and public image. You may start questioning whether your current path truly reflects your authentic self or if there are aspects of your work that feel unfulfilling or stagnant. This period invites reflection on what you’ve achieved so far and what might need to change to align with your evolving sense of purpose.

Challenges: You might feel a sense of unease or dissatisfaction with your career direction or public life. This stage can bring up fears around failure, insecurity, or the need for approval. It may feel challenging to confront the possibility of change, especially if you’re heavily invested in your current identity or career.

Making It Easier: Use this time for self-reflection and assessment. Journaling about your career goals, values, and how you want to be seen in the world can provide clarity. Seeking feedback from trusted mentors or colleagues may offer insights into areas for growth. Try to let go of any attachment to a specific outcome and stay open to potential changes that could better align with your authentic aspirations.

Exact Conjunction (0° from the MC)

Lesson: When Pluto reaches the exact conjunction with your MC, it’s a transformative turning point for your career and life direction. This phase often brings revelations about your purpose, goals, and where you may need to reclaim your power in the public sphere. You may feel compelled to release roles or ambitions that no longer serve you and embrace a path that feels more purposeful, impactful, and aligned with your values.

Challenges: This period can feel intense, as it often brings significant changes in your career or reputation. You may experience a career shift, power struggles, or a public challenge that tests your resilience and adaptability. This can be a time of endings in professional life, potentially leading to a departure from a current role or redefining your ambitions.

Making It Easier: Embrace the potential for change by focusing on growth rather than resisting shifts. Stay connected to your core values and consider how you can bring authenticity to your public image. Supportive practices like meditation, grounding exercises, or working with a career coach can help you navigate this period with greater ease. If possible, release any attachment to control, trusting that these changes are part of a necessary evolution in your life direction.

Transformation (1°-3° After the MC)

Lesson: As Pluto moves past the MC, the transformative effects deepen, encouraging you to integrate new insights into your career and public life. This phase is about rebuilding and aligning your professional pursuits with a sense of purpose and authenticity. You’re being guided to define success on your own terms, shedding any past ambitions that were driven by external expectations or societal pressures.

Challenges: You may feel uncertain as you begin to navigate a new direction, and old doubts about success or worthiness can re-emerge. This phase can also test your commitment to pursuing a path that truly resonates with your inner values, as the allure of past ambitions or public approval may still linger.

Making It Easier: Establish routines or practices that reinforce your new direction. Setting intentional goals or affirmations can remind you of why you’re choosing this path. Reach out to communities or networks aligned with your values to build support. This is also a good time to cultivate patience with yourself, allowing your career path to unfold in alignment with the changes you’re making internally.

Integration (4°-6° After the MC)

Lesson: In this phase, the energy begins to stabilize as you integrate the changes into a solid professional foundation. You may feel more grounded in your sense of purpose, with a clearer understanding of your role in the world. This stage is about embodying the new perspective you’ve cultivated and expressing it with confidence and authenticity.

Challenges: As the transformation settles, there may still be occasional moments of doubt or temptation to revert to old habits or priorities. If relationships or dynamics in the workplace are not aligned with your new values, they may create minor disruptions or challenge your boundaries.

Making It Easier: Reinforce the habits and structures that support your authentic professional identity. Build consistency in your routines, projects, or public roles that reflect your growth and values. Engaging in regular check-ins with yourself or a trusted guide can help you stay aligned with your purpose. This is a powerful time for setting up long-term goals that reflect your authentic self and aspirations.

Stabilization (7°-10° After the MC)

Lesson: As Pluto’s influence becomes more stable, you’re now able to embrace your renewed public identity and purpose with confidence. This phase brings a deeper sense of resilience, allowing you to pursue your goals from a place of inner strength. You’re now grounded in an understanding of success that is uniquely yours, ready to lead with integrity, and inspire others by example.

Challenges: While the major transformations have settled, occasional tests may arise to reinforce your commitment to this path. You may face challenges to your boundaries or the need to maintain consistency in the face of external pressures, but these are often less intense, serving as gentle reminders of your growth.

Making It Easier: Celebrate your journey and acknowledge how much you’ve grown. Revisit your long-term goals and ensure they align with your core values and aspirations. Practicing gratitude and mindfulness in your work life can help you stay present and appreciate the new foundation you’ve created. This final phase is a time to lean into the stability you’ve cultivated, using it as a launchpad for continued growth and fulfillment.

Reminder that these transits last for years at a time. The energy could feel subtle because of how slow Pluto moves, but it may also not be as subtle and an energy that is percolating for years. This journey is here to facilitate a profound transformation of your public life and career path. Pluto transits can often feel disruptive in the beginning, but Pluto is here to transform us into the best version of ourselves. It helps us let go of outdated beliefs, identities, and emotions that no longer support the person we are becoming. The overall gift from this transit is a career and life direction that reflects your most authentic and empowered self.
